EGRMC Auxiliary supports local Hearts & Hands Clinic
9/18/2019
The Auxiliary of East Georgia Regional Medical Center recently donated $2,000 to the Hearts & Hands Clinic in Statesboro. The check was presented to the Executive Director of Hearts & Hands, Kara Holland, by EGRMC Auxiliary President David Keene and EGRMC CEO Stephen Pennington.
The Hearts & Hands Clinic promotes health and wellness by providing primary healthcare services for the citizens of Bulloch County, who are medically uninsured with an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline. This Clinic is a vibrant, dynamic organization with a serious mission to improve the health and wellness of Bulloch County. Hearts & Hands has been serving our county's low-income and uninsured since the fall of 2010, providing medical and dental care, as well as educational classes and more. Their purpose is not to enable, but to serve the community by providing support for individuals as they seek ways to better themselves.
The dedicated members of the Auxiliary at East Georgia Regional Medical Center volunteer their time and talents throughout the hospital every day, as well as give back to our local community in many ways. For information on becoming a part of the Auxiliary, call the Volunteer Coordinator at (912) 486-1545.
