Scholarship Opportunities
East Georgia Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing quality health care for all. As a reflection of our commitment to meet the healthcare needs of the community, we are offering scholarship opportunities to candidates who meet criteria and are interested in committing to a career in healthcare.
The East Georgia Regional Medical Center scholarship will pay for tuition, required books, lab fees, state board exam, temporary permit and license up to $5000 per year. In return, after graduation, the scholarship recipient is required to work one year for every $5000 granted at East Georgia Regional Medical Center on a full-time basis.
Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a C average or above in each course. Scholarship recipients should be available for employment upon receipt of licensure of their field of study. As long as the scholarship recipient completes the employment commitment, he/she shall incur no obligation to repay the scholarship. If for any reason a scholarship recipient discontinues the healthcare program, decides not to accept employment with East Georgia Regional Medical Center after graduation, or terminates employment before the commitment is met, all prorated advances by East Georgia Regional Medical Center shall become payable by the scholarship recipient, who agrees to repay the portion not yet forgiven within 3 months.
The East Georgia Regional Medical Center scholarship committee will consider applicants, and evaluate whether to move forward with the interview process, if applicants meet the following requirements:
- A completed scholarship application.
- College transcripts (C average / GPA of 2.0 or above).
- Proof of acceptance to an accredited school as deemed appropriate by the scholarship committee.
