John Long of Sons of Light Ministry arrived Monday morning, the beginning of Thanksgiving week, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center to pick up 154 bags of Thanksgiving food items that were so graciously donated by the Auxiliary and EGRMC employees. The Auxiliary of East Georgia Regional Medical Center presented a check in the amount of $1,000 today to the Altrusa Club of Statesboro to help support their 'Books for Back Pack Buddies' literacy project.
