Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is most commonly seen as treatment for activities of daily living involving dexterity and achievement of life skills appropriate for each patient. The therapist works closely with patients to educate, maximize independence, maintain health and obtain adaptive equipment necessary to help with everyday skills. The treatment focuses on developing and restoring independence with daily living, including activities such as bathing, dressing, homemaking, writing, driving and work skills.
